Bishop Espaillat was ordained an auxiliary bishop of the New York Archdiocese on March 1st, making him the youngest bishop in the United States, and one of the youngest in the world at 45 years old. Bishop Espaillat is also New York’s first Dominican bishop. He talks about finding out Pope Francis appointed him as bishop, and what his Dominican heritage means to him.
