Alice is the author of nine novels including “Charming Billy”, winner of the National Book Award.  She has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize three times and is a professor of Humanities at Johns Hopkins University.  Her latest novel is called, “Absolution”,  which is about the lives of American wives on the margins of the Vietnam War.
